Thank you for visiting my website. You will find a short bio of myself and contact information, as well as preliminary forms to download, fill out, and bring to your first therapy session. I also have a resource page with articles and books that I recommend. I found them to be insightful and helpful in many areas such as parenting and step parenting, where different approaches are needed. There are links to helpful articles and ideas that improve the individual and families lives that may be dealing with ADHD, divorce recovery, marital and couples relationship issues, and self care.
My goal as a therapist is to help people gain insight and
tools to live their lives successfully and joyfully.
Are you feeling stuck in destructive behavior patterns, reeling from a
divorce or major loss? Do you need
a fresh approach to parenting a child with oppositional or defiant behavioral, homework, school or ADHD issues? Maybe your need is for the
restoration, strengthening and revitalizing of a marriage relationship. Are you in transition or seeking personal growth? Whatever the issue, the therapeutic relationship
is paramount and I strive to make therapy sessions an emotionally safe place to
unpack, process and resolve the issues that are coming between you and your
peace of mind and contentment.
When working with children I incorporate expressive therapies such as play therapy, art and sand play therapies. These modes of therapy can be powerful aides to the healing process for a child who has experienced trauma, feelings of abandonment, depression, divorced parents, grief and loss, and anxiety for example. Art therapy need not be limited to children. Adults also benefit from art therapy and I included it often when working with adults.
